There are many things that bother me because they are false, but are held by many people as true. For example, I despise the teaching of free will in salvation for two reasons:

First, it is not taught as the reason why some are saved and others are bypassed. Rather the Sovereignty of God and His will and purpose are given as what determines who gets saved and who doesn’t.

Secondly, sinners have not a will that is free. Their “will” that is in captivity and slave to sin is forever bent towards sin and not righteousness; unless God comes and changes its nature by His Power and Grace.

Men can only choose to deny CHRIST and not to come to Him. If they come to Him it is ONLY because He is the One drawing them to Himself.
